On 26/03/2008 I was at the Velvet Revolver gig at Brixton Academy. Awesome show.

What’s more important I met Slash and the rest of the band! Slash signed my Slash Signature Les Paul and got photographed with him and the guitar! Nice!

I have never been to the Brixton Academy before but it is the best concert venue I have been to so far.

Velvet Revolver’s gig in Brixton Academy is round the corner. I am so excited! I will get to meet Slash backstage, shake his hand, get a picture with him, a few picks, a quick chat. If I am lucky I will get my Les Paul Slash signature signed by the man.

Just read a very sad and at the same time enlightening article by a lady called Erma Bombeck. She had recently lost her battle with cancer and this is a piece she has written when diagnosed. I have realised on a few occasions that life can be so short and an end could be so unexpected. One must enjoy all the joys and pleasures life brings and thus said I would like to note that the greatest things in life, the ones that make you really happy are the little simple things from everyday experience. One feels happy when he sais I love you or I missed you, receiving attention and affection from loved ones - that’s the real meaning of life.

It is a long and deep subject so I’d rather give you the article to read - it sais it so right, so painfully right that you immediately start thinking about the life you have and live at the moment. Here it is: If I had My Life To Live Over.

I like Slash and Billy Gibbons, Brian May and Kirk Hammett. I love and appreciate different styles of music.

As you might have guessed I like Slash, his axe and his way of playing the guitar. Brilliant player, excellent solos. Did you know that the intro to the song Sweet Child’ O Mine has been voted the best guitar lick ever by many guitar players and a famous magazine, the name of which I cannot remember at the moment. Of course many people would argue that may be the riff from Smoke On The Water is the best one ever or some other… There are so many of them. Good riffs and guitar players, I mean. For instance I also like Billy F Gibbons’ style of blues playing and his minimalist solos, artificial harmonics etc.
